1. Honour your commitment.

2. Please communicate any absence in person, accompanied by a note ahead of time.  Parent signature is preferred.

3. From time to time there will be noon hour sectionals or Saturday rehearsal.  Make every attempt to clear your schedule for these extra rehearsals.

5. Instruments and Music:

1.    Play only the instrument that you are assigned.

2.    You must obtain permission to play an instrument that you have not been assigned.

3.    There is a lock up provided for personal instruments but you must have your own insurance. The school cannot be responsible for lost or stolen instruments.

4.    Practice routines are recommended.  Completed practice logs result in bonus marks.

5.    When assigned a piece the expectation is made that you will make every attempt to learn it before the next rehearsal. This is training for the professional world.  In our case you may alert the conductor to trouble spots before the rehearsal.

6.    This year a separate folder will be assigned like a textbook for each student in ensemble. It must be signed out in the signout book when you take it.  It is critical that the music be returned because a lot of our music is difficult to get extra copies, and entire scores can range from $50 to $200 now to replace one lost part providing the arrangement is in print.

7.    At the end of the year each student must sign in their folder like a textbook.

8.    Please label all personal music clearly.  We cannot be responsible for lost personal music.

6. Fees:

1.    Reeds ($3.00 flat rate. Keep at least two on hand, if not prepared for class sent to VP second time as per gym uniform) We cannot afford loaners this year.  We still have about $30 outstanding from last year.

2.    Trip will have a cost.

3.    Band fee $10 per group to a maximum of $30.

4.    Student activity card is required.
